One-to-one Initiative

one-to-one

In 2011, Seton Catholic Middle School began a 1:1 technology initiative. Incoming 6th grade students purchase their own iPad to be used each day in the classroom, allowing teachers to fully utilize the vast amounts of educational technological resources available.
Online math programs, interactive social studies and science curriculums and eTexts in literature increase student achievement and provide effective and real-time instruction. Preparing students for the future, the use of daily technology in middle school guarantees a mastery of tools available for high school and beyond.
In 2021 Seton Catholic expanded their 1:1 program, offering students the use of Chromebooks at all grade levels.  Students in grades 3-8 have daily use of Chromebooks for school work, while students in the younger grades use Chromebooks as needed on mobile carts.  The school utilizes Go Guardian software to monitor student activity on the Chromebooks.  Students and parents also sign a technology usage policy to assist in the proper use of this technology.
