Eighth grade Retreat
A highlight of the 8th grade year is the overnight retreat held each fall at Cedarmore Retreat Center. The focus of this retreat is the personal awareness of each student of their gifts and talents and to gain the strength and courage to use those gifts. Building a sense of community within the class leads for an 8th grade year filled with achievements and growth. Led by Father Norman Fischer from Lexington Catholic High School and a trained retreat team of current LCHS students (former Seton students), spirituality and faith based activities encourage our students to know God and to know themselves. In addition, trained staff from Cedarmore facilitates teambuilding and leadership skills. Students also participate in confidence and trust development on a zip line course and have fun around a campfire roasting marshmallows! Students mediate alone, build spirituality, pray, and make goals for the upcoming year. Through Glory and Praise, students return to school ready to conquer their final year of middle school.
